THE FIRST FRUITS BLESSINGS AND WAVE OFFERINGS

The secret of all the Passover season blessings is very clear cut:
"And they shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed" (Deut. 16:16).
Come with your Passover offering. Prove God. Then watch Him pour out more blessings than you can hold.

God established the Passover as a feast to be kept forever; "It is the LORD's Passover...so this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance" (Exodus 12:11,14 NJKV)."

The Feast of the First Fruits is always observed on the first day after the Sabbath following Passover and comes before the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The year the Lord was crucified, the Feast of the First Fruits fell on Easter Sunday.

This feast celebrates the Spring harvest. No grain could be eaten until a sample sheaf was brought to the Temple at sunrise on the first day after the Sabbath following Passover.

Many of our blessings today come from our joyful presentation of our First Fruits. We do this before the Lord as we give a portion of what He provided, and celebrate what He will provide for us in the days ahead. What we plant is what we harvest!
